Delete your account

Request deletion of your account and its associated data without opening or reinstalling the app.

This page covers the Android app Mimicry Capture, published on Google Play by Mimicry, Inc. (publication details).

Send a deletion request

  1. Email privacy@mimicrydata.com with the subject Delete my Mimicry Capture account.
  2. Say that you want your account and associated data deleted. Include your participant ID if you know it, or the phone number used to sign in so the operator can locate the account. Never send passwords, SMS verification codes, identity documents or recordings in this email.
  3. We confirm the request comes from the account holder, acknowledge it within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days. We then tell you what was deleted and anything we must keep (details).

Compose deletion email

If the link does not open an email app, copy the address into any email service. Opening a draft does not send it. This route requires no app installation or website sign-in.

What deletion covers

The requested scope is your sign-in account and associated identity links, enrollment/profile data, recordings, sensor and camera data, and derived copies under our control. It includes affected staging uploads, stored object versions, assessments and released copies we host. Deactivating or suspending an account is not deletion.

Our team handles deletion requests directly and confirms completion by email.

What may remain, and for how long

We delete your recordings and account data. We keep earnings and payment records only as long as tax and accounting law requires, up to 8 years, and records of your consent and of your deletion request for up to 3 years, as proof (details). Earned pay is not affected by deletion.

Database backups expire after 14 days. If a backup is ever restored, deletion requests are reapplied before the data is used.

Withdrawal blocks new publication and download grants for affected recordings and initiates managed deletion and buyer notification. Copies already downloaded by buyers cannot be remotely erased. The general policy is raw retention normally up to 12 months, processed-release expiry governed by consent/license, and local phone copies about 72 hours after verified upload. These routine windows do not replace a deletion request. See the privacy policy for details.

Only want to withdraw a recording?

Use the same privacy email with the subject “Withdraw my recording” and identify the recording if possible. State whether you want specific recordings removed or all recording consent withdrawn. You do not need to ask for full account deletion to raise a withdrawal request.

For concerns about how a request is handled, use the privacy grievance route.
